My name is John Jones, a graphic design student who wants to help others bring their name and their brands out via print, web, and other devices. I started doing web design when I was younger just as a hobby on the computer and found out that I have a passion for creativity with computers. Let my passion help your success.
Experience
Micro Center, Technical Support 2005 - Current
Starting out in sales, my role expanded as I saw a need to serve customers in a more comprehensive way through instructional handouts, keynote presentations and how-to-clinics. Proficient in both Mac and Windows environments, my technology skills crossed over to help with in-store outages and routine maintenance. My graphic design skills were used to create flyers and advertisements for in-store and chain-wide sales and promotions.
Currently functioning as the go-to-guy who assists clients with tech support, education and all things related to their computers.
Apple Corps of Dallas, Webmaster 2009 - Current
Serving my second term as President of Apple Corps Dallas (www.acd.us), I’ve used my skills to update and expand the website for this users group. This included complete remodeling of the site to more effectively display graphics and create content to attract new members. Under my direction, the site also launched a blog and social network to integrate with Twitter and Facebook. As leader of a monthly web and graphic design special interest group, I train and teach members to navigate the use of various technologies and software.
